For Agriculture was founded in 1983 by a group of
experts with years of field
experience in agriculture, with the intention of developing
and implementing technological, industrial know-how
to improve the automation in agriculture.
Together with Greenshpon Engineering Works Ltd. (the leading Israeli manufacturer of industrial gear reducers, founded in 1952 and managed by the second and third generation of the Greenshpon family) they have developed a line of special gear motors for ventilation of greenhouses and poultry houses.
The units are a combination of heavy-duty industrial gear reducer with specially built-in micro switch systems, adapted for this application. Since 1983 the units have been installed successfully and maintenance free in most of the controlled greenhouses and poultry houses in Israel and 80% of all units are exported worldwide.
